Authorities believe a body found in New Orleans may have been dragged by a hit-and-run driver for about six miles.

Early Friday morning, authorities in New Orleans began an investigation regarding a body found in the Westbank area.
That fatality has since been connected to a French Quarter hit-and-run, which was reported at roughly 3 am that same day. 
The New Orleans Police Department believes that vehicle may have dragged the victim for about six miles from the original site to the place where the body was discovered.
