An auction was held in Lahore and the bid for the Karachi team was the highest that was made for any franchise, making it the most expensive in the PSL. Many large groups participated in the bidding but ARY’s bid emerged successful.

Mr Iqbal said that the purchase of the Karachi team was proof of ARY’s commitment to the betterment of cricket and that it had been doing this in the past as well.
