The U.S. and Cuban governments announced yesterday that regular commercial flights would be reestablished between the two countries. Such flights were suspended more than 50 years ago as part of Washington's blockade of the island. The agreement is for 110 flights daily. Washington still prohibits U.S. citizens from visiting Cuba, except if they fit in one of 12 categories of authorized travel, although such trips are on the rise.
