Kanye West remixed Chief Keef’s popular “Don’t Like” record in 2012. But it wasn’t Ye who discovered Sosa. Music president Pusha T revealed in an interview with he brought the South Side Chicago native to Ye’s attention.
“If you look at the Chief Keef thing, I brought that to Ye,” Pusha told “‘Listen, these kids are from Chicago, you should sign these kids like now.’ And he was like ‘What is it and what’s it about?’ and I’m like ‘Just listen, it’s a wave. It’s going on. I like what they do and it’s so authentic.”
Sosa’s relationship with Ye didn’t end there. The two artists would later link on song “Hold My Liquor” and “Nobody.”
