US Secretary of State John Kerry squeezed in some Christmas shopping on Tuesday, December 15, during a state visit to Moscow. The diplomat, who is in Russia’s capital to meet with his counterpart Sergei Lavrov and Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a common approach to ending the conflict in Syria, found time to stop by a souvenir shop on Arbat Street.
After exiting one shop, Kerry offered holiday wishes to Muscovites and answered some of their questions. Replying to a young boy, who asked what he would wish for the Russian people, Kerry said for Russian and American people to be friends and for the countries to come together in peace.
