RAF warplanes head for Syria missions after UK greenlights airstrikes on ISIS

Four British Royal Air Force (RAF) Tornado GR4 jets were deployed to Syria from the British Akrotiri base on Cyprus, after UK parliament voted 397 to 223 in favor of launching airstrikes against the so-called Islamic State in Syria.

Six Typhoon jets and Atlas transport plane also left for RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus from Lossiemouth in Scotland.
