Peter Pan Syndrome is when a man or young man is not really taking responsibility for himself or his life. People with this syndrome have a sense that somehow things are going to be magically be okay, but of course, life is not life that. We all need to take responsibility for our own behaviours; but a Peter Pan person has not matured as a personality. They have difficulty with interacting in a real way with the real world and the sort of hope that soon it'll going to be alright; and often, it isn't. If you are married and you have Peter Pan Syndrome, you may have spent too much money for the shopping without taking consideration of other necessities. So Peter Pan Syndrome is the lack of maturing personality. It can be devastating because partners do not stay around that much since life in Peter Pan Syndrome is chaotic and disorganised. They can never reach life's benchmarks because they are not dealing with the real world.

You can get help with Peter Pan Syndrome to mature your personality and to grow up, and take responsibility for your life. A mature personality can be very objective -- a mature personality can see and take the consequences of one's actions but a person with Peter Pan Syndrome can't.
