Attempts by Brazil's right-wing opposition to oust President Dilma Rousseff took a step forward Wednesday night when the president of the lower house of Congress, Eduardo Cunha, began impeachment proceedings against her. Cunha himself is being prosecuted for corruption charges. Rousseff is accused of fiddling with government funds to mask budget shortfalls.
