SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA — Two suspects are dead and a third is detained after a deadly shooting at a Southern California social services agency on Wednesday morning. Fourteen people were killed and 17 others were injured.

The shooting took place at a holiday party in San Bernardino County's Inland Regional Center. According to the Guardian, police say that one of the gunmen was at the scene of Wednesday's deadly rampage prior to the attack. There was a dispute at the party that may be connected to the later assault.

The shooter reportedly left but returned later with one or two other gunmen. All three opened fire at the party-goers.

Witnesses saw the shooters running into a black SUV parked at the office complex, reported the Los Angeles Times. The SUV then fled the scene as police officers gave chase.

After a shootout with police involving handguns and assault rifles, two suspects — one man and one woman — were killed. A third suspect was later seen running away from the scene of the shootout and was detained. However, it is unclear if he was connected to the shootings.

According to Reuters, police are still searching the Inland Regional Center, where a potentially explosive device has been found. NBC News reported that one of the three shooting suspects has been identified as Syed Farook, but Reuters has not yet been able to confirm his identity.
