The Average Joe Photo Show encourages 'average' people in all walks of life to "unleash their inner artist." Started in 2013, this combination art and philanthropy project invites anyone, anywhere in the world to participate submitting photographs be taken using the camera app on a mobile device. Lori Warner and Rebecca Steiner started this show modeled after the 1955 Family of Man exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.

Photos are submitted over the course of a calendar year, and then hold an annual exhibition of the previous years' collection of photographs February - March at Lori's Gallery (Lori Warner Studio/Gallery in Chester, CT) - displaying the work of children, teenagers and regular people alongside those of professional photographers. Each show highlights a new philanthropic focus. Previous years highlighted Water.org. This year the focus is Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). They thought it would be inspiring to explore such a meaningful new direction in focus and subject matter - celebrating human connections, kindness and quality of life. A portion of the proceeds goes to both DWB and the photographers.
