The starting signal for the FAI World Air Games in Dubai is given! According to the motto “Where Sky is the Stadium”, in the upcoming twelve days 854 athletes from 55 nations will compete in ten sports and 23 disciplines. "This is the biggest FAI World Air Games ever," said Susanne Schödel, the secretary general of the World Air Sports Federation (FAI). "In the 110-year history of the FAI, it's the first time we have had an event like this."

The FAI World Air Games, conducted under the rules of the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), is the premier international multi-discipline air sports event fielding the world’s top athletes. The 2015 edition of the FAI World Air Games has been awarded to the United Arab Emirates for the first time and will be held in Dubai from 1 to 12 December 2015, presenting an array of 11 sports and 24 disciplines.
