PKR secretary-general Rafizi Ramli said that the 100% sale of Edra Global Energy Bhd to a China-Qatar consortium will jeopardize the security and smooth running of electricity generation and distribution in Malaysia.

He said the decision to open up the energy sector to foreign companies will come with risks such as tariff hikes in the future.
