Right-wing candidate Mauricio Macri, who won yesterday's presidential run-off election in Argentina, will face an uphill battle building consensus in congress, where the left-of-center Front for Victory (FpV) holds a majority in both houses. In a speech to supporters Macri said he will strive to have good relations with all countries in the region. FpV candidate Daniel Scioli, who Macri defeated by 3%, much less than anticipated in the polls, called on the new government to continue the FpV's social achievements.
