Megjithëse ndodhen te izoluar, te dënuarit apo te paraburgosurit shqiptare kane te drejtën e votës ne zgjedhjet e 23 qershorit. Gjate një vizite ne burgun 325 ne kryeqytet e Komisionit Qendror te Zgjedhjeve ka kërkuar nga gratë qe vuajnë dënimin ne këtë burg qe te ushtrojnë këtë te drejte qe ua jep ligji. Aktualisht ne te gjithë vendin ndodhen 5100 te dënuar te cilët do te votojnë brenda institucione ku vuajnë dënimin. Sipas drejtorisë te përgjithshme te burgjeve ne 21 institucione do te ketë nga një qendër votimi, kjo pasi kodi zgjedhor ka te parashikuar qe te ngrejë një qendër ne çdo institucion qe ka me shume se 15 persona. Ndërkohë qe nga kjo e drejte përjashtohen vetëm te miturit dhe te dënuarit qe ndodhen ne spital me mjekim te detyrueshëm.
