Europiani i peshëngritjes ne Antalia te Turqisë ka filluar ne mënyrën me zhgënjyese për kombëtaren shqiptare. E para qe u ngjit ne pedane nga kuqezinjtë ishte peshëngritësja Fetije Kasaj e cila garoi ne peshën 53 kg bateria A. Ne stilin e shkëputjes sportistja shqiptare dështoi ne provën e pare me 78 kg ndërsa e realizoi me sukses te dytën. Ne provën e trete Kasaj nuk arriti te ngrinte 81 kg duke u renditur ne vend te 9 ne shkëputje ne garën me po kaq peshëngritëse,13 kg larg vendit te pare Kristina Iovu. Fetije Kasaj e filloi fuqishëm garën ne stilin ku ajo ndjehet me mire, ne shtytje duke ngritur ne provën e pare 108 kg me shume se çdo sportiste tjetër. Por 27-vjeçarja nuk arriti te ngrinte ne provën e dyte 110 kg. Edhe pse e rriti peshën me 1 kg Kasaj dështoi edhe ne provën e trete duke u renditur ne përfundim te garës ne stilin e shtytjes ne vend te peste. Ne përfundim Kasaj u rendit ne dy garesh ne vendin e parafundit, e teta, me 186 kg ose 21 kg me pak se vendi i pare moldavja Kristian Iovu. Te mërkurën do te ngjiten mbi pedane Romela Begaj ne peshën 58 kg dhe peshëngritësit Daniel Godelli dhe Briken Calja ne peshën 69 kg.
