Socialistët hedhin sytë drejt ish-të përndjekurve, një shtresë kjo e përfaqësuar nga demokratët, që ne çdo fushatë lançuan dëmshpërblimin për këtë kategori. Duke e parë si një thyerje akulli mes kësaj shtrese dhe PS, në programin për një rilindje shqiptare, një kapitull i veçante i është kushtuar përqasimit te tyre dhe mënyrës sesi duhet te behet dëmshpërblimi.
Për Edi Ramën, ky mentalitet duhet të ndryshojë, duke mos e parë PS si një persekutor por forca që do ti japë fund zvarritjeve. Në tryezën me ish-të përndjekurit, Rama tha se mazhoranca është tallur me këtë shtrese duke premtuar dëmshpërblimin sa për efekt elektoral. Por skeptik ne realizimin e këtyre premtimeve, një prej ish-te përndjekurve ka replikuar me kryetarin Rama. Partia Socialiste ka parashikuar një kategorizim te kësaj shtrese ne bazë të moshës dhe përfituesve. Dëmshpërblimi për ish-të përndjekurit mbi moshën 70 vjet duhet të kryhet brenda një viti.
