Mazhoranca ne Komisionin e Integrimit miratoi njëanshëm draftin qe kalon INSTAT nga varësia e Këshillit te Ministrave, tek kryeministri i vendit. Opozita tha se kreu i qeverise kërkon te kontrolloje drejtpërdrejt INSTAT, për te prodhuar te dhëna te rreme ne shërbim te tij. Kryetari i komisionit Ditmir Bushati, duke iu referuar progres raportit te vitit te kaluar për Shqipërinë, u shpreh se BE kërkoi pavarësi te plote për këtë institucion dhe propozoi kalimin e INSTAT ne varësi te parlamentit. Bashke me INSTAT, ne varësi te kryeministrit është propozuar edhe kalimi i drejtorisë se sekretit te klasifikuar.

Majority in the Integration Committee approved the draft that passes INSTAT sided dependency of the Council of Ministers to prime minister. The opposition leader said the government seeks to control directly INSTAT, to produce false data in his service. Bushati Ditmir Commission Chairman, referring to the progress report for Albania last year, said he demanded complete independence for the institution and the proposed transfer of INSTAT dependent on parliament. Along with INSTAT, subordinated to the Prime Minister is proposing the transfer of the Department of classified secret.
