Dhjetëra banore te fshatit Hekal ne Mallakastër rrezikojnë te mbeten pa strehe. Shtëpitë e tyre kane pësuar çarje dhe dëmtime për shkak te rrëshqitjeve masive te tokës. Erozioni ne këtë zone ka filluar dy vjet me pare kur dhe shkatërroi plotësisht dy banesa. Familjaret e këtyre shtëpive janë strehuar me qira. Banoret e tjerë te fshatit shprehen se i pret i njëjti fat nëse pushteti vendor dhe ai qendror nuk ndërhyn për te parandaluar shkatërrimin e banesave dhe ndonjë tragjedi te mundshme. Por komuna Hekal prej kohesh është ne dijeni te problemit te banoreve. Kryetari Eqerem Beqiraj deklaron se komuna nuk ka fonde për te përballuar këtë emergjence, ndaj dhe dosja për fshatin Hekal i ka kaluar prefekturës se fierit. Për fat te mire deri tani nga shembja dhe dëmtimi i shtëpive ne fshatin Hekal te Mallakastres nuk ka patur viktima dhe as te lënduar.
