Analistët komentojnë progres-raportin dhe refuzimin për herë të dytë të Brukselit për marrjen e statusit të vendit kandidat në BE. Përgjigja negative, sipas mero Bazes, vjen pasi integrimi nuk konceptohet si një proces, por si një moment elektoral, për shkak te mungesës se mentalitetit evropian tek palët.
Albert Rakipi, drejtuesi i Institutit për marrëdhëniet ndërkombëtare pohon se Shqipëria nuk është gati të marre statusin e kandidatit. Duke pohuar se lufta e forcave politike për te fajësuar njëra tjetrën, e dëmton këtë proces, Rakipi sugjeron se duhet një qasje tjetër. Blendi Kajsiu nga ana tjetër shton se progres raporti nuk tha asgjë te re dhe ishte sipërfaqësor. Ai u kujdes të theksoje se raporti nuk i prek problemet reale ne vend. Ajo që duhet të kurohet sipas analisteve, është fryma e konfliktit mes palëve. Por nëse Rakipi është kundër PS për strategjinë që po përdor, Baze mbron idenë se mentaliteti i PD-se nuk është pro dialogut. Kajsiu nga ana tjetër thotë se problemi mes forcave politike është në koncept.
