Venezuela has demanded that the United States reveal the identity of the agents involved in spying on the state oil company PDVSA. Describing the espionage as a grave violation of international law, Venezuela made the demand just minutes after U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby claimed that Washington has “no interest” in destabilizing the Venezuelan government and does not intend to do so. After a letter of protest was delivered to the United States Embassy, President Nicolas Maduro announced that he would order an investigation and review bilateral relations between the two countries. teleSUR
