Clashes erupted between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian protesters in the West Bank town of Bethlehem on Friday. Israeli soldiers fired tear gas at protesters who were hurling stones at soldiers and burning tires in the street. The clashes came during a period of tension and violence in the region.
