The Airbnb Open conference being held in Paris has been cancelled in the wake of the attacks in the city on Friday.
Scheduled to run from November 12 to 14, the apartment-sharing company's conference was meant to facilitate a gathering of Airbnb hosts as well as deepen the company's ties to its users.
Instead, the conference was abruptly cancelled as Paris is still reeling from the events of the past 24 hours.
Currently, the company has over 600 employees in the city, as well as 5,000 Airbnb hosts and "superhosts" in town to attend the conference.
Airbnb has also activated a disaster relief tool to assist visitors and hosts in Paris.
For those affected by the incident, the company's usual service fees will be waived until November 17.
