Adele totally gets it if you tear up during her emotional ballads, because she's prone to do the same.
The British singer-songwriter, who blasted back onto the scene this month with her powerhouse hit "Hello," opened up to the New York Times  about her method, particularly what it takes for her to write a really good song.
After the rampant success of her second album, "21," many, including Adele, wondered if lightning could strike twice with her upcoming record, "25," due Nov. 20.
In October 2012, she welcomed son Angelo with boyfriend Simon Konecki, an investment banker-turned-philanthropist.
Adele also opened up about her family life and her relationship with Konecki in a lengthy interview published this month in Rolling Stone .
She and Konecki met as "21" was gaining mainstream attention and are still together as boyfriend and girlfriend, she said, despite reports of marriage and breakups.
The "Skyfall" singer also said her pregnancy came at a perfect time, because she was starting to "get a bit afraid of everything," and Angelo took away that fear.
