The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) announced in a Twitter message that as of September 30 it had halted all weapons purchases. The announcement comes during a recess in the Havana peace talks. The rebels are calling for an immediate truce ahead of an upcoming bilateral ceasefire. teleSUR
