A dead blue whale washed ashore the Oregon coast. The rare whale's skeleton will eventually be placed in a museum.

A 100-ton dead blue whale was spotted along the Oregon coastline about 10 miles north of Gold Beach on Monday, November 2nd.
Oregon State University's Marine Mammal Institute is currently in the process of preserving the 78-foot long whale's skeleton, which they ultimately intend to display.
