Deeply influenced by the Jamaican sounds of the seventies, Roberto Sánchez is certainly one of the best musicians and producers of roots reggae in Spain. His career began with the creation of his first band, Lone Watti, with which he recorded two albums. Then he continued with the Loud & Lone project, duet formed with Borja Juanco, and with the backing band The Sound Dealers.
His subsequent growth came with the solo project Lone Ark, opening himself to the big ones in the Jamaican sounds. The two recent “And God Said to Man Showcase”, in collaboration with the Jamaican veteran Earl Zero, and “From Creation”, with the brilliant singer Alpheus, are feathers in the cap of the European roots sounds that pay tribute to the classic sounds of the island of reggae.
Roberto will be at Sunsplash along with Alpheus, a Jamaican-born singer and a protagonist of a significant experience as a member of the Studio One family.
