Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today called the victory of the Mahagathbandhan in the Bihar polls as a “victory of truth and brotherhood”. Calling this mandate a “message” to PM Modi, Gandhi added,” The nation is telling them that Modi ji, BJP and RSS cannot divide the country. They cannot win elections by pitting Hindus against Muslims”. Advising the BJP to “stop slogans and begin work”, Gandhi noted that the “arrogance” of the BJP leaders cost them the elections. “The PM should stop his foreign trips and should work for people,” said Gandhi. Gandhi said that JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar had complete support of the Congress for forming the government in the state. As of 01:53 pm, the Grand Alliance was leading the initial trends with 168 seats and the BJP had 67 seats.
