Footage of the strange light flying over California on Saturday night, which turned out to be a US military missile test.

In this footage, filmed from Long Beach on Saturday evening, you can see the light moving through the night's sky while people on the ground comment on it.

People began to report sightings of the strange light from about 6pm on Saturday.

It was reportedly part of a scheduled missile test launch and it was also visible from Nevada and other states
