CCTV footage has emerged from China of two robbers breaking into a jewellery store only to be chased out again by staff running after them.

In the footage, captured in Shaanxi Province last month, the masked robbers can be seen holding sticks to threaten the people inside the room, but they meet unexpected resistance and run away after they see the shop owner and staff try to fight back with chairs.

According to local news, the police then carried out and investigation and finally arrested the two suspects later in the week.
