Venezuela’s Socialist Party has requested the prosecution of two businessmen who discussed asking for an IMF loan for Venezuela, according to a recording of their telephone conversation released by National Assembly President Diosdado Cabello. The two men ––billionaire businessman Lorenzo Mendoza and Harvard economist Ricardo Hausman –– said that the country’s economic crisis requires a 40 to 50 billion dollar loan. President Maduro says the two should be investigated for possible usurpation of presidential functions. teleSUR
