A new study suggests that over 90% of the Earth-like planets that will ever exist haven’t even been born yet.
The universe likely has many planets that are similar to Earth, but according to researchers at the Space Telescope Science Institute, we’ve only seen a small portion of what’s to come.
Their theoretical study predicts that over 90% of the Earth-like planets that will ever exist haven’t even been born yet.
That is not necessarily because other corners of the universe have been slacking in the development department. Rather, our solar system just happened to get an early jump on getting formed.
A NASA news release notes, "when our solar
