In a major step forward in resolving the Colombian armed conflict, the two sides in the peace talks currently underway in Havana agreed on mechanisms to search for those who have been reported as missing during the civil war. The government and the FARC will turn over information it has on those who died in its custody to the International Committee of the Red Cross. The agreement involves the search, location, and identification of the disappeared as well as the turning over of their remains. teleSUR
