A police officer from the Metropolitan Police Trident anti-gang crime unit was reportedly shot in east London on Thursday lunchtime.

This footage shows the police cordon following the shooting in Haggerston, Hackney.

According to reports, a man has been arrested following the incident. The wounded officer was taken to an east London hospital for treatment.
