Vadodara : More than 50 persons were detained by police after they created a ruckus during a demolition drive by Vadodara Municipal Corporation. The razing drive was taken up by VMC as the plot located in Sanjaynagar area was owned by the civic body and illegal houses had come up there. The VMC sent its encroachment removal teams to the spot along with personnel of the city police. People from the locality, including women too tried to resist the move by standing in front of the machinery deployed by the civic body at the location.
