Pakistan Becomes the First Associate CERN Member from Asia
The General Council of European Center of Nuclear Research (CERN) in its meeting held on 19 June 2014 accepted Pakistan’s application for Associate Membership of CERN.
Pakistan is the first Asian country to become an Associate Member of the Organization.Pakistan had formally applied for Associate Membership in February 2013.

Pakistan conducted successful test fire of Short Range Surface to Surface Nasr Missile, which was fired from a state of the art multi tube launcher, NASR, with a range of 60 Kilometer is a quick response system, with shoot and scoot attributes.
The test fire was conducted with successive launches of 4 x missiles (Salvo) from a state of the art multi tube launcher.

Pakistan becomes associate member of CERN lab
GENEVA: The world's top particle physics lab has admitted Pakistan as an associate member, a year after Israel was voted in as a full member.
Rolf Heuer, director general of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research, known as CERN, says he signed a document Friday in Islamabad in the presence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that admits Pakistan if the government ratifies the associate membership.

SHC allows Karachi nuclear plants to start construction
The Sindh High Court (SHC) disposed off the petition against the construction of two nuclear power plants in Karachi, passing the order that the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) can now begin work on the projects.
