Starbucks fans will now be able to enjoy the Apple Pay system when purchasing their favorite cup of coffee.
Apple confirms that it is rolling out the mobile-payments service to certain Starbucks establishments before the year ends.
The company plans to increase its presence in all of the store's 7,500 locations in the U.S. in 2016.
The announcement came from Jennifer Bailey, VP of Apple Pay, who said that some Starbucks stores will begin accepting Apple Pay this year as part of the company's pilot program.
Bailey was at the Code Mobile Conference event where she also confirmed that all Starbucks stores will have Apple Pay in 2016.
Apart from Starbucks, Bailey also mentioned that the mobile-payment system is rolling out to KFC and Chili's as well.
