One of the most talked about positions during Michigan State's preseason camp has been the battle at running back. Monday, Mark Dantonio shed some light on the subject with his comments to the media. But is this a done deal? Dantonio praised the play of redshirt freshman Madre London from Saturday's scrimmage, but also let it be known Gerald Homes was ahead of true freshman LJ Scott. Add in the just returned Delton Williams following his reinstatement to the program and you can see why Spartan fans have been talking about who Connor Cook will be handing off to. When asked directly if London was the Spartans No 1 back Dantonio said the following. He's No. 1 now! Read what you want into what the Spartans head coach said, but don't be surprised if this competition is just getting started and will not be settled until the Spartans get down to business next week to prepare for Western Michigan.
