Founder and Leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Mr. Altaf Hussain has firmly denied the allegations against him and has reiterated that his faith in the British justice system remains unchanged.
While addressing a large gathering of the party workers at MQM International Secretariat in London and Azizabad in Karachi over video conferencing after his bail extension, Mr. Hussain thanked all party workers and supporters for taking the time to come to MQM's modest London office on what he described as "a busy day."
He further said " I would like to make it clear that I firmly deny the allegations against me. I have now been on UK Police bail since the beginning of June last year. So I would like to thank the millions of party followers for their support so far and for their continued support whilst this process continues".
Mr. Hussain added that "due to the on-going investigation I must refrain from discussing specific details so you please forgive me for not commenting any further on legal issues at this time. In the meantime I urge the millions of MQM party members and supporters across the world to remain calm, remain united and have patience during this on-going process."
"I should like to express my love and salam to all Pakistanis and assure them that I am determined to never let the nation down. I pray for you and our country, please pray for me," Mr Altaf Hussain concluded.
