Former Haitian President Jean Bertrande Aristide urged his supporters to vote for the presidential candidate of the Fanmi Lavalas Party, Dr. Maryse Narcisse, in elections to be held on October 25. The twice deported leader appeared before thousands of supporters outside his home. It was the first time he’s spoken in public since he returned from exile in 2011.
