Atlanta, GA - Employees at one Metro PCS store believe their location was targeted by two armed robbers still on the run.Witnesses said they saw the duo barge in, faces covered and guns drawn.
“They put guns to our heads,” said one of the victims, who asked not to be identified.
Surveillance video of the incident on August 11 show the criminals forcing the employees to a back room then ransacking the cash register.
Employees at the store on Sylvan Road said the suspect’s MO was similar to that seen in another robbery at a Metro PCS store a few miles away just weeks prior.“ I still get nervous when Black people walk up to the door,” said the employee who showed us how they’re keeping the door locked during business hours, only choosing now to only buzz people in when they’re sure it’s a customer.
Police have not said if the two robberies are related and no arrests have been made in either incident. Investigators said that they have tracked one of the cell phones stolen from one of the employees to the College Park area.
