In this edition of the Longines Chronoscope, Governor of Pennsylvania John Sydney Fine discusses Adlai Stevenson’s presidential campaign. While Fine feels that Stevenson is stuck with the Trumanism label, he believes that Stevenson will appeal to the south and is a good Democratic candidate. In his campaign, Stevenson will have to confront civil issues and emphasize the prosperity issue. Overall, Hoffman believes that Stevenson has both things working for him and against him which he will have to rise above if he is to beat Eisenhower for the presidency.
