Ben's first stop was the waterfall Thjofafoss which translates to the ‘Waterfall of Thieves’ - it got its name form Pagan times when thieves were drowned in the waterfall for their crimes. It is approximately 14 meters tall and is more impressive for its volume rather than its height. Former Red Bull athlete Shaun Baker nearly drowned in this waterfall many years ago leading to it also being known as drowning drop in kayaking circles.

From there he drove through the night along the South Coast to the iceberg forest, also known as Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon. Jökulsárlón sits at the foot of the Vatnajökull Glacier which is Europe's largest glacier outside the arctic, with a surface area of 8,100 km2. Jökulsárlón recently became the deepest lake in Iceland at over 248 meters deep.
