A Japanese tourist has died after a selfie attempt went awry at the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.

According to the BBC, a Japanese tourist has died after a selfie-induced tumble at the Taj Mahal.

The 66-year-old man, along with his friend, apparently fell down a flight of stairs while trying to snap a picture. 
Although the friend survived and only suffered a leg fracture, the man experienced serious head trauma.

He was immediately knocked unconscious and ultimately died of his injuries after being rushed to a p
