West Bengal government today declassified 64 files related to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The files have been kept in the Kolkata police museum in digital format. The files will be available for public viewing from Monday. “There are 64 files which contain 12744 pages, all files have been digitised,” said Surajit Kar Purkayastha, Kolkata Police Commissioner CDs of digitised form of all the files were distributed to his family members and media persons. Earlier last week, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee had announced that files pertaining to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the State government's custody, will be put in the public domain.
