The Income Tax department is ed to be planning to introduce a new scheme aimed at ensuring that the income tax refund is safely transferred to the personal bank account of the taxpayer as soon as possible. Earlier, the department used postal service to refund the amount exceeding Rs 50,000 in cheque. CBDT Chairperson Anita Kapur said that it is aimed at ending the complaints of the taxpayers in refund issues.
