Disgraced former Guatemalan vice president Roxana Baldetti has been transferred to a military hospital for a routine medical checkup. She resigned in May amid a corruption scandal that succeeded in driving President Otto Perez Molina from office and into prison. Baldetti is currently awaiting trial. teleSUR
