Penang Chief Minister, Lim Guan Eng said today that there was no need to reveal the name of the Umno veteran who was said to have agreed to join Penang state government.
Referring to a challenge made by Umno chief division of Bukit Mertajam, Musa Fadzir to challenge the Bagan MP to publicly announce the name, he said they should not put pressure on someone who has accepted the post and later resigned (from Umno). http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/82866
"I have not revealed any name. When he accepted the post to serve in the Penang state government, (he received) a pressure from the party and was forced to resign.
"I think they know who it is, I think we just leave it at that," he added.
Lim further explained that even though somebody wanted to serve regardless their political affiliations, they are not allowed to do so.
Two weeks ago, Lim had announced that an Umno veteran leader had accepted to serve in Penang state government and he said he would reveal the name when time came.
Opposition MPs from DAP and PKR signed a condolence book in Chinese Embassy today following a devastating earthquake in Sichuan Province in China recently.
