An impressive video has emerged from China of 2,880 high school students breaking an umbrella carrying record.

The video, captured on Monday in the square of the history museum in Ruijin, shows students displaying Chinese characters - "Ruijin Jiangxi, the starting point of the Long March" - by carrying umbrellas in a beautiful display of yellow and red.

A Guinness World Records official approved it on site, announcing it is a valid challenge that breaks the umbrella carrying record.
