The cutting board is thick silicone which makes it easier to handle the food while cutting because it grips the surface really well. You can never have enough cutting boards as I catch myself using more than one so I don't cross contaminate between foods. This cutting board does have markings along the sides so you can measure the cuts you're doing. The other part that I caught myself liking is that it's flexible in which allows me to transfer my foods without making a mess.
