Residents near Ecuador’s Cotopaxi volcano are preparing for what could be the first massive eruption since 1877. Ash spewed from the volcano and tumbling rocks have caused problems for neighboring communities. A state of emergency has been declared and President Correa has spoken to the people, advising everyone to become familiar with evacuation routes and the location of secure zones. An estimated 325,000 people could be affected by landslides, mudslides or other effects of heightened volcanic activity. Liz Scherffius reports for teleSUR.
